BLESS THOSE WHO SEEK TO MAKE US FREE

Dear Father God, whose mighty hand
Created sky and sea and sand,
Who made the world and all we see,
Who gave the gift of liberty,
O hear our prayer we raise to thee,
Bless those who seek to make us free.

Protect, Dear Father, those who stand
Before the tyrant’s mighty hand,
And guide their steps through danger’s place
And still their hearts with peace and grace

Comfort, Dear Lord those families,
Whose loved ones go to fight for peace,
O wrap them with your arms of love,
And grant them mercy from above,
Until they then their loved ones see,

And make, Dear Lord, our leaders strong,
And guide them from the mighty wrong,
O grant them strength and wisdom true,
That they may take their lead from you, 
O hear our prayer we raise to thee,
Bless those who seek to make us free.

Accept, Dear Lord, the ones who fall,
Who gave their lives for peace for all,
O take them in your loving care,
Our grief in loss, Lord, help us bear,
And grant that all your face may see,
Bless those who seek to make us free.
